Tobacco Caye
Tobacco Caye is about 10 miles from Hopkins, Belize, and it lies at the northern tip of the South Water Caye Marine Reserve. There is a $5 USD fee per day for being in the marine reserve.
The east side of the island is just yards from the barrier reef, which makes this a popular place for diving, snorkeling
and fishing
trips.
Seven businesses rent rooms/cabanas on the island. A couple of them have bar/restaurants that are open to the public. The Tobacco Caye Marine Station also operates here.
