Bread and Butter Caye
Bread and Butter Caye is about 5 miles from Hopkins and is like a private little park. It makes a great spot to go snorkeling, do some fishing, grill up any fish you might have caught, break out your picnic lunch, relax, and take a nap in a hammock.
There is a small $5 BZD fee for day use of their facilities, which may be included in the cost of your charter or tour. The island is also located in the South Water Caye Marine Reserve, so a boat may come by to collect the $5 USD per day fee to be in the reserve. A few rental cabanas are available on Bread and Butter Caye - inquire with your tour operator or call +501 666-4040.
Bread and Butter Caye is often a stop on fishing
and snorkeling
tours. If you are taking a tour, it may also include stops at other nearby islands.
