Xunantunich Mayan Ruin
Xunantunich is a very large and popular ruin. It is located near San Ignacio in the western Cayo District, about 2 hours away from Hopkins.
You take a cool (short) hand-crank ferry boat ride across a river to get to Xunantunich, so it is only accessible when the river level is not too high.
This ruin is also close to Cahal Pech, so many people visit both in the same day. Tours may also combine visits to other places in between Xunantunich and Hopkins.
